Salted Caramel Dandelion Tea Latte

One of my favorite drinks to date! Sweet with a touch of pink salt, topped with fresh whipped cream & coconut sugar caramel -- all caffeine-free!


There's nothing better than a drink topped with whipped cream...prove me wrong! I betcha' can't. There's just something about a thick, creamy, rich & robust drink that I'll never not like. Whether that be a chai tea latte, coffee, mocha, or a hot chocolate, it's all just too delicious! One of my all-time favorite drinks has to be dandelion tea, though. It dissolves in hot or cold water and has a taste so similar to coffee -- BUT, it's caffeine-free and is technically an herbal tea. It's truly a win-win, because I can drink an "iced coffee" (iced dandelion tea) with coconut cream when I'm cooking dinner, and I will get NO caffeine-energy spike -- it's amazing!



When Zulay Kitchen reached out asking if I'd be interested in any of their products, my heart probably skipped a beat! It probably skipped two beats when I saw they had a frother I could pick out, too! "I can make my iced dandelion tea so much easier now!"I thought to myself. And right I was! I can whip them up in seconds flat and definitely drink multiples at a time now. ;)


Their frother is also the most high-powered frother I've tried! My old one used to barely move and froth my drinks up -- hah! definitely not this frother, though. Another thing I appreciate about it is that it comes with a stand, so I can put it right back on its stand when I'm done using it -- SO handy!

Salted Caramel Dandelion Tea Latte


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tsp - 1 Tbsp Dandy Blend's instant dandelion tea

  • 8 - 10 oz almond milk, steamed

  • 1 heaping tsp of cocoa powder

  • A pinch of salt

  • Dash of vanilla extract

  • Sweetener, to taste

  • Zulay Kitchen's, high-powered frother

TOPPINGS:

  • Fresh whipped cream

  • Paleo, coconut sugar caramel

  • Shaved dark chocolate, optional

  • Ground cinnamon, optional


INSTRUCTIONS:


  1. Steam your almond milk until hot. Froth with your frother for recommended amount of time. Then add in your instant dandelion tea and mix to combine. (If making an iced drink, mix it into your milk cold.)

  2. Add in your vanilla, salt, cocoa powder and sweetener.

  3. Next, beat some heavy cream with vanilla and sweetener until fluffy. (Be sure not to over-beat, or else you'll get butter instead of whipped cream!)

  4. Scoop your whipped cream onto your drink, and top with plenty caramel, cinnamon and chocolate shavings! Enjoy!!
