Paleo Chocolate Cashew Butter

This Chocolate Cashew Butter is perfect for all your breakfast needs. Spread on toast, top on your oatmeal, or stuff your crepes! The options are endless!


Nut butters are seriously THE bomb! Amiright? I am! You can do so much with them, and a scoop or two really does crush those dessert cravings.


One of the things that is difficult about nut butters though is how pricy they can be when you buy them! Plus, when they're fun flavors, they are usually filled with artificial/natural flavor -- which we know is a no-no!



That's when homemade nut butters come to the rescue! You can buy the nuts in bulk, and

even get them in organic form! You are able to choose what YOU want to add to the butter, and it's awesome that you can make it according to your preference.



Again, the options of use for nut butters are nearly endless! Like I've mentioned above, you can spread on toast, top on your oatmeal, stuff your crepes, top your daily smoothie/or protein shake (my personal favorite!) dip in some organic berries, top your morning pancakes or waffles, or just eat a scoop! So many ways to dig in.



TIP: When buying your nuts of choice, make sure they're dry-roasted! Companies usually opt for the super cheap, industrial vegetable oils that are very damaging to your body. So, opt for dry-roasted, or get raw nuts, and roast them yourself at home!

Paleo Chocolate Cashew Butter


- Serves about a pint -


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups dry-roasted cashews (I used these ones)

  • 3 Tbsp avocado oil

  • 3 Tbsp cocoa powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp real maple syrup

  • 4 drop organic stevia (or more maple syrup)


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In your food processor, process your cashews until smooth, thick, and until they become a nut butter.

  2. Then, add in your avocado oil, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, and sweeteners. Process that until smooth and creamy.

  3. Once everything is combined and smooth, scoop or pour the mixture into your jar and store in the fridge. Devour and enjoy!
