Grain-Free Chocolate N'Oatmeal

Thick, creamy, and BEYOND DELICIOUS! Cozy up with this nutrient-dense bowl of oat-less oatmeal that tastes so dang good you'll think you're eating dessert!

A few months back I snagged this recipe from WholeGirl.com and it's safe to say it's been a weekly breakfast since then! Seriously too, too good, and so easy to make when you're short on time! I've made a few adjustments to her recipe to make it chocolate, but either way, this stuff is super yummy!

After realizing I couldn't handle too much oatmeal/oats in a somewhat large quantity by me, I just HAD to find out how to make my own paleo version of oatmeal. That's when this N'oatmeal came to the rescue! Warm, thick, chocolate-y, and full of healthy protein and fats -- and topped with a heaping melty spoonful of grass-fed butter! It's a match made in heaven!

The toppings here are endless! Heart-shaped banana slices? ('Cause I'm extra that way..!) Yes! Homemade, crispy, low-sugar granola? Yes, please! A square of decadent 90% dark chocolate? Count me in! Anything goes, and that's what makes it such a fantastic breakfast.

So, my friends, get creative! Top with anything your heart desires (and plenty of nourishing grass-fed butter...did I mention that?!) and your body and soul will thank you later! Recipe below, and happy munching!!




Grain-Free Chocolate N'Oatmeal

- 1 serving -


  • 1 scoop grass-fed collagen (optional!)

  • 2 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp flaxseed meal

  • 4 Tbsp finely shredded coconut

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk or full-fat coconut milk

  • Real maple syrup, raw honey, or stevia to taste!

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder

  • A dash of salt and cinnamon


  1. In a little saucepan, combine all your ingredients! And over medium heat, bring it to a simmer and let it all cook together for 10 minutes.

  2. Once the 10 minutes are up and it's thickened, pour into your bowl of choice, top with your toppings, and enjoy!
